What do you associate with "Made in Germany"? If positive catchwords such as inventiveness and engineering skills come to your mind, you are in good company: Goods and services with the seal "Made in Germany" stand for highest quality and enjoy great popularity.
This is also confirmed by a study conducted by the international data and analytics group YouGov and Cambridge University in 2019: People in 23 countries were asked whether they would think more or less positively about a product if it was made in one of 12 nations. Across the 23 countries, about half of all participants in the study had a positive impression of products from Germany, only 6 percent had a negative one. The study therefore concluded that "Made in Germany is the best thing you can see stamped on your product".

In addition, the Made-in-Country Index of the online portal Statista confirms that "Made in Germany" is considered the world's strongest quality label.
The results of the studies speak for themselves. But what exactly does "Made in Germany" mean for the IT security sector? This is precisely what the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, together with representatives of the German IT security industry have been thinking about and have created the quality seal "IT Security made in Germany" (ITSMIG).
